The colourful liquid photography titled “Aqueous” was the idea of London based photographer, Mark Mawson. He has 30+ years experience of producing creative and inspiring images and first had the idea to produce the beautiful images after pouring milk into coffee and observing the swirling patterns that were produced. Following that, Mark set out to shoot colourful liquid images that can resemble anything from sea creatures, alien landscapes to flowers.
”Aqueous” has since become very well known and collectable. An Aqueous video was projected onto the walls of Buckingham Palace for The Queen's diamond jubilee concert in 2012 and more recently, a video was used on a giant screen by U2 for their eXPERIENCE and iNNONCENCE tour and another for Sam Mendes live shows.
Mark’s work has gained him many awards and in 2018 he was awarded the prestigious Futurum Award by His Serene Highness, Prince Albert of Monaco for his significant contribution to art.
